Introduction to Swift
Mambu Payments is a registered Swift Business Connect provider (under BIC BCPXFR2D) authorised to connect financial institutions with a Swift Alliance Cloud subscription to the Swift network’s 12,000 members.
Use cases
The four typical use cases Mambu Payments enables as a Swift Business Connect provider include:
1. Correspondent banking
Financial institutions can send and receive cross-border payment instructions with their network of correspondent banks.
2. Connectivity to partner banks (corporate mode)
Customers can connect to their banks’ cash management infrastructures over SwiftNet to exchange proprietary payment instructions and reporting messages / account statements.
3. Connectivity to sponsor banks (indirect participation / agency banking)
Financial institutions can access payment schemes through their sponsor banks’ payment infrastructures (indirect participation or agency banking).
4. Connectivity to payment schemes (direct participation)
Regulated financial institutions can connect to payment schemes or market infrastructures accessible like as EBA’s STEP2, ECB’s T2 (ESMIG), SEPA additional optional services (AOS) like SEDA, and CHAPS.
